Hello everyone, Time is flying by here in mexico, and I am preparing for the Christmas season, this year without snow, it isn`t the same..... but you know, the message is still the same, and I am so grateful for the savior and what he did for me and the life that he lived. For the experiences of this week, I will explain shortly: One thing that was just awesome was with Lorenzo, we contacted him like 3 months ago, like my first month here, and we have checked at his house like 56 times to find him, and he wasn`t there, we were so close to just giving up on him, but then I had a thought one day, it was thursday, (one of our appointments fell through) that we needed to go visiti Lorenzo, so we went and,.... he was there! He told us that he had been sick, but that he wants to listen to us and hear more about the church. So, we taught him, about authority and the Book of Mormon. And, we had the oppurtunity to give him a blessing, and he said that he felt better, and we put another appointment, but he wasn`t there. But still, there is hope with Lorenzo, and I learned that I shouldn`t give up finding people, because the time that I don`t look is when they might be there, when the Lord has prepared them to listen, and when they need me and my companion, and the gospel, the most. We`re still working with Lorenzo.

Another cool experience was with a less active member, she hasn`t been to church in 4 years, and she wasn`t there Sunday.... but still, this lesson that we had with her was so powerful, we taught about baptism and the covenant that she had made at one time in her life. One thing that was cool, was that we asked if we could helpe her in anyway, and she told us that we had already helped her with everything, that she feels 1000 times better since she started listening to us, we have an appointment with her tomorrow, and she has a grandson who is actually reading out of the book of mormon to her each day out loud for 20 minutes as part of his homework, but anyways, he is awesome and we are going to prepare to teach him, he is nine years old, and I really hope that he gets baptized and that his grandma returns to the church.

And, one more cool experience to finish the week, we were looking in the area book for more people to teach. And we went with an investigator who hadnpt haerf form them in one year, we found him and he was excited to hear from us an dis progressing, he has some doubts about the book of mormon, but we are working with him, and I`m excited. The work is progressing here, little by little. Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts and prayer, hasta luego, Love, Elder Limb

Hello Everyone! Once again, another week has passed by here in Mexico. Thisweek, there was´n´t much interesting stuff that happened, but I have a new companion now, his name is Elder Gerlach, it is different, but I am no longer a "greenie" missionary, it´s way different, but the work is still progressing, oh, and just so you know I am still in the same area, the area of Nativitas. The work is progressing here. I do have one story that is pretty cool to share actually, it goes like this:

Areceli is the name of oneof our investigators, she is progressing awesomely. But anyways, she has a daughter and we are teaching both of them. The lesson we taught to them, wasn´t all that great, itwas about´baptism, but she must have felt something, because she made the comment to us afterward that she could feel a different type of energy when we are with her teaching her. I know that this energy or good force that she is feeling is the spirt, and just knowing that someone else is able to feel the spirit from my teaching, means that I´m doing at least one thing right as a missionary haha, but yeah, it was a super good feeling after that lesson. Times like these make me realize that I´m really where i need to be, in this specific mission, at this specific time, doing what I should be doing.

And, we had the oppurtunity to watch the first presidency christmas devotional, in english, it´s betterthat way, although I could have watched it in spanish, I chose english, because it´smorenatual and original, but still, it wasawesome! The talks were just awesome. I loved it so much, it makes me excited for the Christmas season, although, it will be very different without snow thisyear, but I´m in mexico, so, I kind of alreadyknew that this is what i would need to expect. Well, this week, has been kind of a slow one, and a transition for me,being with my new companion, who is from Kamas Utah, but he´s starting to learn the area, and things are starting to progress, nextweek, I´ll have more updates. Hasta Luego, from Mexico City. Signing out for the week, Elder Daniel Limb.

P.S. I hope that everyone is enjoying the christmas season, and thanks so much for keepiong me in your thoughts and prayers, I really appreciate it.

Hola everyone. Another week has come and gone, this week was a crazy one. One of the most crazy events was that there was another earthquake, this one a lot stronger. But don´t worry, todo esta bien. All is well, here in Nativitas,Mexico City. And, as a missionary, I am protected as long as as I serve as good as I can and do the best that I can do serve. Well, This week, we experienced a mini miracle, my companion and I here in Mexico. This week, there was a member who invited us to go and eat with him at a restaurant place, this was Thursday, so we went. And there, the exact time that we were there, there was a less active member who we had been trying to contact for 4 weeks! It was a miracle that we were able to contact her and we actuallyl have another appointment with her this week. Mini miracles like this are what I love to see, especiallly because that day, was pretty hard for me and my companion, none of the peopel who we were goign to teach were there.

Also, this week, the day after that, we got to eat at another restaurant with some members. The name of the restaurant is called VIPS it is actually really good, it´s kind of like dennys or something like that, but it is really good. Anyways, before I explain why, let me explain more about the background information. Before we went to eat with these members. It was about 6 oclock, on Friday. WE had an appointment with these less active members in their estetica(hair salon) and we were going to have a noche de hogar(family night) with them. We planned to talk about the atonement with them, and we ended up talking about the plan of salvation. We were talking about the spirit world, and they started to understand that to go to spirit paradise, they need to go to church and partake of the sacrament each week so that they can have the blessings of the atonement. so, that is exactly what they did. They hadn´t been to church in like 3 years, and they were there this Sunday. It was aweome, but i want to talk more about the lesson. It was really powerful. The spirity was there and when me and my companion were bearing testimony about the atonement and applying it directly and personally into the lives of the less active members we were teaching, they felt the spirit and commited to go to church, and they were there! It was awesome. They then decided to take us to dinner afterwards, which was nice, i ordered a chocolate chip cheesecake, and it was delicious, but the lesson was what was more important to me. Seeing that there are children of our heavenly father who have become a little lost of the path of righteousness and that I as a missionary and representative of Jesus Christ have the oppurtunity and blessing to teach and testify of the mission of Jesus Christ, is such a blessing. This lesson strengthened my testimony of the power of the atonement.

Also, there was another lesson that we had this week. With a family, Hernandez family. They are less actives, the mom, hadn´t been to church in over 2 years, and her son, actually served a mission in Utah, her served in the prove mission in Lehi, which was cool because that is where my c9ompanion is from and they knew some fo teh same members. But anyway, he hadn´t been to church in like 5 years, he finished his mission 10 years ago. But, this lesson as well was powerful. WE taught and testified of the power of the truth to make us free(John 8:32) and testified and connected it with the atonement and the restauracion, that we have such a great message to share, to help free other children of God from mistakes and to help rescue, and the returned missionary felt the spirit there, he told us that he would be excited and honored to go to church the Sunday that was yesterday, and he went. His mom wsa there as well, and we talked with them, and they felt the spirit and were grateful to have the atonement back in their life. It was another testimony builder of the atonement for me.

The reason why we have been focusing so much on the atonement this week, is because, we actually had a lesson on the atonement, in our zone training meeting with the whole zone of ermita. It was an awesome zone conference, I learned a ton, and most of it was about the atonement, that really everything we do as missionaries is centered in the atonement, so that is what we taught this week, and we saw miracles. Families who hadn´t been to church in an extended period of time, came because of the power of the atonement.

Also, the investigator who we contacted in the micro(a bus) like 4 weeks ago, was at church. He is so ready for the gospel, and he loved church. WE will be working with him this week, and I think that he will be baptized, I sure hope so. The work here in Mexico is progressing, and I know that is is the work of the lord. Spanish, no longer is much of a problem, I understand almost all, and this is the last week of my training, in one more week, I will no longer be a "greenie". I also might be in a new area next week, I´ll let you know. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers, I know that the atonement is real, and that it applies to all of us, not only to those who are lost. I am so grateful for the blessings of the atonement, and the gospel. I know this church is true, and I have seen lives changed because of it. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

P.S. Thanks for everything, and I hope everyone has a happy thanksgiving.

Hola everbody! This week was crazy, let me just start by explaining that, this week, I experienced an earthquake. don`t worry, it wasn`t anything big or anything, but still. this past week, there was a big earthquake in Guatamala, and here in Mexico City, I could feel it. I was in my apartment with my companion studying, and the building started to shake, it was weird, because i wasn`t moving, but at the same time I was. Don`t worry though, everything is all good, it was just a small one in mexico city, but still, it was interesting.

Also this week, another miracle was experienced by Elder Beatty and me here in our area of Nativitas. WE were visitng this less active member, she hadn`t been to church in six years. We went to her house for an appointment, and visited with her, she asked us if we were cold at night(because believe it or not, here in mexico city, it gets cold at night) and we told her that we were, so... she went to her room and brought us a bag with 5 huge warm, heavenly blankets. The one that I have has a lion on it, it is pretty dang sweet if I do say so myself, and i do. And on top of that, she also gave us 8 ties, and told us that she would give us more ties. She was so glad to have the missionaris back in her home, and now, we are working with her family, her husband and kids. I`m pretty excited to see them progress.

One more thing this week, we were visiting with another less active family, and the head of the family, Hector, was a little sick, so we were asked to give him a blessing. After we taught them a lesson on faith as a matter of fact, his wife asked if we could give a blessing. It was my turn to give the blessing, and I was extrememly nervous because 1 it`s in spanish 2. I don`t have much experience giving blessings 3. The spanish prounous are different when giving a blessing,it`s kind of hard to explain, but yeah, it`s different than when you are speakingk, it`s kind of liek using thee and thou instead of you or something and 4. It`s in spanish... But, I know that as an Elder, I have the priesthood to do so, and whether in english or spanish, it`s the same. So I started giving the blessing, and i only made one mistake with my spanish! Just one tiny mistake, the words just came to me, and it was definitely a testimony builder to me of the power of the priesthood.

An extra addition to this weekly letter, this week, was stake conference. It was all in spanish(of course) but there were speakers from the 70 speaking spanish, and also Elder Scott was speaking spanish too, it was by satelite broadcast. But, one thing I really want to share with you guys, What is the most quoted scripture in the church? IOf you said 1 nephi 3:7 I will go and do,........you would be wrong. It isn`t <moses 1:39 either. If you said 1 nephi 1:1 "I nephi having been born of goodly parents" you would also be wrong, however, this is the most read scripture haha. But, the answer is the sacramente prayer. EAch week, in every lds church throughout the world, this scripture is quoted, word for word, and it`s because it is so important, remember the significance and blessing of having the sacrament each week.

Also, Friday, we taught a lot of lessons! ÇThe most in all of my mission! 4 lessons without a member present, and 3 with a member, all of our appointments were there. And the member who was with us in the lesson, brought two investigators who we were teaching with him to the stake conference. It was aweome! And the investigators told us that they would return next week for the regular sacrament meeting. There is so much work to do here in Nativitas, but I love it, and I am working hard. I can`t believe it, I`m almost done with my "training" two weeks more and I will officially not be a "greenie" and there is a chance that I will get to train a new missioanry, but I don`t think I`ll be ready, my spanish is pretty good, everyone tells me that it is, but I sitll have a lot to improve. random fact of the day, spanish word for cool= padre. For example, "Que padre" here in mexico, means, that`s cool or how cool. I just felt liek teaching you guys one word for this week. Today, for P day, we went bowling again, it was super fun.

I hope all is well at home, keep me updated with how things go, that`s all for this week, Love, Elder Daniel Limb

Hola Everyone, Once again, another week has passed by in Mexico. This week was pretty awesome, I´m just going to jump right in and start to explain what happened this week.

Before I get too carried away, I want to talk about the coolest thing that happened this week, well one of them, but the things that I learend the most from. This is it, be prepared. This week, we had our zone conference for the zone of Ermita for the mission, and we had a member from the quorum of the 70 come and speak to us, and his wife too. Elder Benjamin De Hoyos came and toured our whole mission, and it was just such a spiritual experience, especially hearing his testimony, because he is a special witness of the Savior Jesus Christ. One thing that was really really awesome though, that impacted me a lot was the talk that his wife gave to us. She talked about reading in the book of mormon, some facts about translation and stuff. Here I will provide some of the facts that I learned. The bible was translated by 50 "learned" men, they translated 1 page everyday, it took them 7 years to finish the bible completely. The book of mormon was translated in 85 days, approximately 10 pages each day, by one man, Joseph Smith. This book is the most correct book, and when you read it you will become closer to God than by anyother book, so that was the challenge that she gave to our mission. To read the book of mormon in 85 days, but this time while reading it, we have to mark every name of the SAvior, or every reference to the savior Jesus christ, so that when we introduce this book to investigators, we can flip the book, and they can see the countless numbers of references to the savior Jesus Christ, and know that it really is another testament of Jesus Christ, this impacted me a lot, and I really want to do this challenge, and I would like to challenge all of you to do the same thing, I have only been reading for like 4 days, but already i have gained a greater appreciation and my testimony of the book of mormon has been strengthened of the savior Jesus Christ, that is my challenge for you guys, 85 days to finishe a blank copy of the book of mormon and mark every reference to the savior. Also, hearing the testimony of Elder Benjamin De Hoyos at the end was powerful, I could feel the power behind his testimony, and it strengthened my testimony. I know that this is a lot of stuff on my zone conference, but it was pretty spiritually powerful.

The next thing that I want to talk about is this new revelation that I kind of mentioned in my last email, how we can´t knock on doors and our contacts are limited to when the spirit tells us to go and contact. So, we have been working a lot harder to reactivate and work with less actives, and members, and still the investigators that we already had before this revelation, but yeah, and I am bout to describe a pretty awesome experience that we had with this experience. So Saturday, there was an investigator that we already had, and he was sick, so we couldn´t teach him. So we had this other "menos activo" less active member, who was in our area book, she was baptized six years ago, and hadn´t gone to church for like 5 years and 8 months. So we knocked on her door, and things just starting being awesome, oh yeah, her name is Maria, but we were working with her, we had a strong lesson, the spirit was there, and she told us that she needed to go to church, we gave her a book of mormon so that she could read the book of mormon again, and invited her to go to church. She told us that she would be there, and she was. And at church on Sunday, she was telling the gospel principles class(class for investigators and less active members) that it was a miracle that we came at that moment, because we were talking about the holy ghost and that she said that she knew that the spirit had prompted us to go and visit her, and we also asked her if she knows anyone that would benefit from our message and she said yes, and so this week, we have an appointment with her again, and hopefully her friend. She also gave us a little tiny plant, and some food, so it was pretty awesome, and she was excited because her prayers had been answered, and now, we are going to work with her to help reactive her and her family again.

One more thing, This past week in Mexico was a holiday, called Day of the dead, it was two days, november 1 and november 2. It´s pretty cool, the people of mexico remember the lives of their ancessestors and it is pretty cool. And... spanish isn´t giving me hardly any problems, I can understand 95 percent, I understand the grammar, it´s just vocabularly now that I have to learn. And, I have learned to love the food, that´s one thing that is difficult for me to do , to remember the names of the foods. I have eaten a variety of foods, all really good, and I don´t know that names of any of them, but just so you know, it´s good, it´s spicy, and I love it, even pizza is different here. Also, this is a surprise to me, but it is actually pretty cold here in Mexico City, it´s been raining and the climate will get colder still, I guess it´s because mexico city is elevated higher than utah, its like 9000 feet or something like that, but yeah, i actually had to buy a sweater to stay warm. But things are going great, it´s basically like Utah in like March/April without the snow, but yeah, I love it, I have adjusted to city life. And I love being here as a missionary, representing the Lord Jesus Christ, doing missionary work, I´ve seen miracles, and I know that I am protected because there have been some pretty scary stories that I have heard about Mexico City, Next week, if you want, I will answer any more questions that you have, but that´s all I have for now. Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers, and keep being awesome, I´ll write more next week,

hasta luego, Love, Elder Daniel Limb

Hello Everyone, Another week in Mexico has passed by. This week, we had an awesome experience, we invited this family of three to be baptized, two of them accepted. This lesson was so spiritually powerful, because in the first lesson, they told us that they didn't want anything to do with baptism, but with time, and with the help of the spirit, two of them the father and the son, agreed to be baptized! This isn't even the best part. WE invited this same family to come to church, they said yes, which is awesome, because we've only been teaching them for like 3 weeks. So we went to pick them up in the morning, and we realized that we didn't want to walk all the way there, or use a taxi because it's expensive. But, the dad of this family is a delivery truck driver, so he had his huge truck. What was awesome, was that he was dressed in his Sunday best, he had afull suit, and everything, it was pretty awesome, also his weife, we didn't even explain about the process or what to wear, or nothing, but they were prepared. And what was cool, was that we went to church with him, he drove us in his work van, it was pretty sweet, there is a lot of hope for them. The other thing that I want to talk about, is a revelation, that the area 70s of mexico received. From now on, we are not allowed to knock doors, unless prompted by the spirit, or to contact in the street unless prompted by the spirit. WE will be working 100 percent with the members, we have to teach each member the first lesson, and ask for their family that aren't members to teach them, and we have to visit all the elss active members, which is good. Because here in mexico, this is the problem, it's easy to baptize and find people, but to truly convert converts is hard, that is my invitation to you guys, to become truly converted so as to never fall away. so we will finally be doing missionary work how the Lord wants us to do it, this was the reason why the success had been lower, but now, the wards will grow, and more chapels will be needed, I know that this revelation is from God, and I'm excited to work with the members. Just knowing that now we have the oppurtunity to do the lord's work how he wants it, is exciting, more success will be manifested, and more lasting converts, through the families and friends of the members. Also, this week, I had to use my sewing kit for the first time, I had no idea how to sew on a button, but I figured it out, I was pretty proud of myself. That's all for this week, Thanks for keeping me in your prayers and thoughts, I'll write more next week, , Adios, hasta luego, Elder Limb

the one thing that I can´t buy here is american stamps, it would be awesome to receive some, even if it´s just a letter full of stamps, thanks so much for writing me this week, this week, I don´t have much time to write, so please forgive me for the shortness of this letter, and yes, I remember musical time, so many things to do. I do use a planner, and it is more productive, I love you too mom, thanks for everything you do. One really, really cool experience that I had this week is this: so i finished one transfer in the mission, my companion is district leader, so we had to go to the transfer meeting, i was assigned by the assistants to the president to share a thought from preach my gospel and missionary manual, so i did, but after I finished, my mission president grabbed me and congratulated me in front of everyone for my dilligence in learning and studying, he said that I was an example, it felt so awesome, he told everyone that i only had 6 weeks in the mission and they were all surprised, but I know taht i have only been able to learn through the help of the Lord, with out his help, none of this would be possible, the gift of tongues is real, I have felt it, and it is awesome, to be able to express myself, how I need to to teach, that feeling in front of all of the missionaries in the mission, was just awesome, I know that I am in the right mission for me, it is just such an awesome feeling, that day forward, I commited myself to always live worthy of the praise that I received, to act like an experienced missionary, and work hard to continually imporve spanish, I´m really close to understanding all and being able to explain myself, but yeah, that was the cooles experience of the week, next week I´ll write more, Love, your son, elder Daniel Limb

Hello everyone, Things are going great in mexico, the work is progressing. Conference was absolutely incredible, I have never learned so much from a single conference before. I`m loving it here in mexico, and have been blessed to have had some success. This past sunday, after conference, we had the baptism of Rosio, she is awesome! She has such a strong testimony, and was so excited to be baptized, it was especially awesome having the baptism right after Conference because there were some talks about baptism and the sacrament and it all flowed together, it was an awesome experience, to be a part of missionary work, there reallly is no greater blessing.
Also this week, well today actually was our p-day, and as a district we went to the zoo in Chupultepec because it was free, it was pretty fun. I had a great time, it was nice to get aweay from all the city surroundings that surround me all day long, and earlier this week, yesterday, we had a lesson with Alexandro. He is awesome! He could sense that we brought a special spirit, we were actually contacting someone else, when he called to us to go and talk to him, it was pretty sweet,. In this lesson, we invited him to be baptized, and he said he would, but not on a specific date, because he doesn´t feel ready, but he told us that he already knows that the church is true, and that the book of mormon is true, and we taight him all about the holy spirt and the gift of the holy ghost. It was a powerful lesson, I learned a lot, my spanish is progressing and I am just loving it here in Mexico, I have learned so much about the gospel during my studies. The work is progressing, and I`m blessed to be a part of it.
I got to try sushi the other day too! Here in mexico, a member bought us sushi, I have never had sushi, it was really good. This week, because of what I learned from conference, I am commited to work harder than ever, conference was just so awesome! One thing that I loved, was the talk, just ask the missionaries, I really hope that our investigators, and also the members will apply this to us when they are being taught, I have learned so much this week, and am progressing much, I don`t have much time, I`ll write more next week, hasta luego,

Hola familia,

things are going pretty awesome right now here in Mexico. I have pretty much gotten used to the missionary schedule, walking all day and such, but yeah, I love it, every night I go to bed exhausted, but this is how I know that I have been working my hardest and giving my best effort to the work of the Lord.
This week was pretty good, we found ten new investigators, some of them are really ready to accept the gospel and hopefully will accept the invitation to be baptized. But, I have a cool story that I want to share real quickly with you guys, we have this investigator, her name is Rosio, and we have been teaching her for a month, she was like the second person that I taught here, but yeah, me and my companion taught her about the power of the atonement, and the power of prayer in a lesson, probably on like Tuesday or something like that, I dont remember exactly when. But she told us her story in our next appointment with her, her story goes like this: She works in an estetica(basically a barbershop, but not exactly, I don´t know the exact translation in english) but she told us that while she was working, there were two customers who were talking abou the church, and making fun of the beliefs, and of mormons and all this stuff, and so Rosio told us that she decided to pray in her mind and heart, and her prayer was answered. She told us that after she prayed, two other missionaries in our zone, were walking by the estetica and she called them into talk to the two customers. They were there in just the right moment to give her the support that she needed, and the cool thing is, that one of the customers decided to start taking the missionary lessons, he lives in our area, so we got a reference out of this, and Rosio´s testimony was strengthened. We were going to have her baptism this past Saturday, but we had some complications, so we are hoping to have it after conference, on Sunday, so that the whole ward can be there to support her.
The ward that I am in is called Nativitas, and they are awesome people, so nice and stuff to us. Every day, we get to have comida(meals) with a member, and share a scripture and help them and excite them to share the gospel The ward is actually pretty good in number, about 60 active members give or take, but here in Mexico, the problem isn´t finding and baptizing, it´s retention and reactivation of members who go back to their old habits. If every member who was baptized was active, the ward I am in would have i don´t know, probably like 180 members or something like that, maybe a little high for a guess, but yeah, a lot more.
My spanish is improving each day, I´m amazed at how fast I have been able to learn, but I know that it has been through the don de lenguas(gift of tongues) that has helped me to learn so much, so fast. I´ve only been here one month, but it feels liek longer, I have been working hard to try to learn more and take more responsibility. I´ve gotten better at teaching too. Because I am a new missionary, me and my companion have two hours each morning to do companion study, I have learned so much from my companion, he has 20 months in the mission and he was the secretary of finances for 6 months in the offices of the mission, so he already knows a ton about missionary work, and I am trying to learn as much as I can, but my first intercambio(transfer) is almost done, it´s week 5, I can´t believe how fast time has gone by, but I love it here, it´s different, but I love it.
Some more information about the weather and stuff, right now, the weather is way nice, it´s basically like utah, but a little more cooler because we are at a higher altitude, but right now, it´s kind of like the rainy season, so it has rained a lot, almost every day. The air, is pretty nasty though, there is so much polution, and tons of people smoke, this is one thing that I don´t like, but my body has kind of adjusted, still, when I get home, one of the first things I want to do, is take a nice long hike in the mountains, with the fresh air and mountain view, I miss that a ton! Here is all city, city, city, and more city. Every hour of the night there are sirens, honks, and cars driving, but I´ve learned to sleep through it pretty good.
I´m starting to like the spicy food too, some is really spicy, but I´ve learned to like it.
How are things back home? How is work going for you mom and dad? How is school for Andrew, Angela, and Megan? thanks for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers, I´m working my hardest and trying to be a good missionary, I´ve had some rough days, been rejected, but overall, the one time that we get accepted, can make up for 1000 rejections. Tracting is fun too, for me, to try and be creative, one approach that is kind of funny, but was kind of effective went like this, I knocked the door, they said who is there, i said we are here to give you money, they said seriosly, i said yes, they came to the door and i said not real money, but spiritual money that you will need to use to buy your salvation or something like that, they weren´t interested, but the message we have, the gospel, really is like spiritual money, it was fun for me and my companion. This area though, has a reputation to be kind of tough, and it is, but me and my companion have endured to the end of each day, and we have a goal to baptize 4 children of God this week, hopefully we can reach this goal.
I´m so excited for conference this week though, the oppurtunity to hear a prophet of God speak, is priceless, this will be just what I need, more advice and assistance from the brethren. EAch time is special, but this time, I feel more excited, and ready to listen, to apply each and every word into my efforts as a missionary, I´m excited, let me know what your favorite parts of conference are.
Man, I can hardly remember what home looks like haha, but this is good, because I´m commited to serve for two years. To tell a little more about mexico, one thing that is pretty interesting, is they have these things called tangy´s, they are basically like little tents that sell things, kind of, they are little market shops, that set up every once in a while. They have tons of different things, it´s cool to look around, because they have everyrthing that you could think of to buy. Also, the metro, it´s interesting to see the people that I see on the subway(metro) each time, there are always people selling things, and people always ask me, what do you think about the president of america, and I say, I don´t know, i´ve dedicated two years of my life to help people find happiness in life and I start teaching them, often they don´t like this, but it´s true, and I love it.
There are millions of people here, well probably like 2 million in my area alone, something like that, but it´s cool because every day I get to talk to different people and learn about the culture more and more. One house had 4 generations living there, all in one lesson! It was awesome. I love you guys so much, thanks so much for praying for me, it means a lot.

Hey family, things are going great righ tnow, I had my my first baptism this past Saturday, i was nervous though because all of it has to be in spanish, all of the words and it has to be perfect, but I did it! And there is no other feeling that is better than a baptism, knowing that I have helped someone to come unto Christ and receive the blessings of the atonement. WE had another lesson with Alfonso, but this time things didn´t go so well, he had some strange questions, we gave him a pamphlet of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and he told us that he can´t be baptized because his nose is different, or something like that, all these weird questions. I hope that things will turn out well with him though, he has his agency though, all we can do is keep on teaching to the best of our ability. Spanish is getting better too, I´m starting to learn how to teach, and how to listen. The food is great, I am enjoying it so much, it is a little spicy, okay a lot spicy, but I´m starting to like this spicy food. Still though, the coolest thing, was that we invited all of the ward to come to this baptism of two of our investigators, and the whole ward, basically was there, it is always awesome when the ward shows support to converts. One of the converts who my companion baptized, Carlos, is 12 and next sunday he will get to receive the priesthood, he is so excited to receive it. I got to baptize Melanie, his older sister, they were so excited. The ward is so awesome here, we had a ward activity about family history, and they invited us(this was right after the baptism) and there was some good food there, hamburgers, they were delicious! It was just like being in a bbq back home.

Benjamin, I hope that things go good for you with your new crazy schedule, but yeah, just keep praying and studying the xcriptures and working hard and everything will work out well. Here, in mexico city, there are always tons of people in the streets, so we usually just do street contacting, we haven{t received many referrals from members, but we´re working on it. We also knock doors, and this is fun, because you have to be creative, one approach that I tried that was fun, went like this, we knocked the door, the people who answer always say "Quien" (Who) and I said, we are here to give you money, she answered the door and I started to explain that it was spiritual money, that it was worth a lot more than all of the money put together in the world, she took our passalong card, but we didn´t get an appointment with her, I´ll have to try this tactic another time though, it´s fun. If you say you are missionaries, they usually don´t want to listen or will say they don´t have time, so it´s fun to be creative to try and get them to answer the door, and sometimes they want to learn more

This week, we found someone awesome, hopefully she will get baptized, but we started talking to her, and she said that she only believes in God, that she doesn´t believe in any religion because there are people who don´t live their religions, we actually had a lesson with ehr, and have another appointment with her, she said that she felt warm and good inside during our lesson, we explained that this is the holy ghost and that we are here to help her, because she had been looking for something, it was awesome, but she has her agency, we will keep working with her to invite her to be baptized.

Today, in the morning, we got the chance to go bowling for a Pday activity with the rest of my district, this was so fun, I´m starting to feel like I belong in Mexico, i only have 3 weeks here, but i am learning to love it, and enjoy it. it´s also fun to ride the metro(subway) you always see interesting people there, I wish i had time to tell more about the people that I saw.

The work is going great, we have two investigators who will be baptized this saturday, so I´m way excited for that, and the week after that is general conference, thank good ness I get to watch it in english haha, writing in spánish is difficult for me, but I´m getting better at listening. I can´t believe that my first transfer is almost up, two more weeks, time flies by, especially when you are working hard, and that is what me and my companion have been doing. There are so many people here to teach, the members are so nice, they feed us every day, and I´ve had oppurtunities to try all kinds of food, to be honest, half the time i can´t even remember what the food is called, but I love it. I love seeing investigatros progress, as they accept the gospel and gain their own testimony. This is one thing that makes up for every time that I´ve been rejected, but seeing the one investigator progress and accept the gospel makes up for the other rejections. I don´t have time to say much more, and mom, I received your pouch mail letter, but I don´t have much time to write hand written letters, I´ll try to get some, maybe this next week, the work here is busy, we´re working hard, and I love it. I have felt so much help from the Lord in my teaching, learning of spanish, and finding. I love missionary work, I know I only have 3 months in the mission, but it feels like longer, and I´m going to work hard every day, to enjoy every second of my mission, thanks for writing me, I really appreciate it, keep me updated on how life is going. Next week I´ll write more, if you guys would like, I´ll answer any questions that you have, thanks so much for your love, support, and prayers

Love, Elder Daniel Limb

Dear family, things in Mexico are so busy! Missionary work is busy, but I love it, i have learned so much in such a short period of time, i know that I am not perfect, but I sure try my best. This week, i have a really awesome awesome, beyond awesome story that I want to tell to you all, it goes like this:

So this week, saturday the 15th of september( a holiday in Mexico) we were out tracting, me and my companion, and we had a back up plan to teach a man named alfonso, he was under the list of future investigators, so we had no idea what to think about when we showed up to teach him. But, our first lesson, our actual plan didn´t fall through, so we went to teach Alfonso, we didn´t know if he would be home or not, but he was home, and here is where the story literally gets awesome. Alfonso started off by greeting us by saying, i already read the book of mormon, it´s confusing and it isn´t true. We weren´t sure where to go from here, but he kept babbling on and to be honest I didn´t understand everything that he said, but I understood the majority of it. But eventually, me and my companion asked him how he knows these things, and he said he just does, so we asked him if he had prayed, he said that he hadn´t.... there´s the reason why he doesn´t know that it´s true, but anyways, I´ll continue with the story. So he said that he hadn´t prayed, and that he didn´t feel worthy to pray, because he felt like God was punishing him because he has a heart problem or something like that, but we got teaching him and he really didn´t believe that God loved him, at all. So, I started baring my testimony, and the spirit helped me to say what he needed to hear, and hear is where the cool part of the story is. My companion started talking, and he´s awesome by the way, but he started teaching and he also bore his testimony and taught Alfonso that heavenly father really does love him, and then, the cool part comes. Alfonso said, and I quote: "How is it that you can know the thoughts in my heart and mind" it was just like the story of Ammon and King Lamoni, he then asked if me and my companion were apostles, we said no, but we have been called by a prophet and apostle of God to come to this country, more specifically to your home Alfonso, to teach you a message, to tell you that there are things on this earth that you need to do before you can prepare to meet God again after this life, that even though you have a heart problem, that there is still time for us to help you. Then he asked both of us to offer a pray in his house, which was good because we started teaching at his door step, but my companion prayed and then I prayed, and our prayers were very similar, and then he decided to pray. Which was a miracle, because at the beginning of the lesson, he said that he was unworthy to pray and stuff like that, but he prayed and the spirit was so strong during that lesson, I literally can understand why I am called here, because there are people like Alfonso that need the gospel, to help them understand their purpose in life, why they are here, where they are going, what they need to do, and stuff like that. We have another appointment with Alfonso this week, and I am hoping and praying that he chooses to get baptized, because he needs to, and if he does, this will be the coolest story ever, I´m telling you it was just like in the book of mormon, it was awesome, and I want to help Alfonso to understand the gospel.  Well, there you have it, that is the story that was just awesome that I just had to tell this week, I literally love being a missionary here in Mexico, it´s hard, but I love it, and I am going to do my best to be a good missionary, to live for every second of my mission, and right now, I´m so excited to teach.

The food here is different, this week, I tried grasshopper..... no surprise, but it tasted like dried up grass with lemon flavor, it was weird... but yeah I like the food for the most part, they actually have a walmart here, so most of my breakfast and stuff is pretty much american food, like cereal and stuff like that. But the cool thing is that here in Mexico City, the church is pretty strong, there are enough members where we have a pretty large chapel, and as missionaries, we get to have food with the members every day, one meal a day, and they usually feed us good! I have tried so many new foods, I can´t even remember the names of them, but I haven´t gotten sick yet, which has been a surprise, but I´m, loving it.

The people in Mexico are so nice, they are just awesome, they are so willing to listen, there´s a word in mexico that is kind of like a magic word I guess you could say, the word is "disculpe" which basically means excuse me, but when you say this to someone, they will stop and listen, no matter who you are, and a lot of the time they are interested to know where they will be going after this life. It´s different in America, but here in mexico, everybody is willling to listen, which is awesome. But yeah, they are so nice, and patient with my spanish haha, but to be honest, my spanish has progressed rapidly, my companion said that I speak like a missionary who already has 6 months experience in the field, I don´t know if he was just saying that to be nice, or if it´s true, but either way, I have improved so much, especially while teaching.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write me, it really means a lot, I love letters, and if you want to, you can use the mission office address posted in my lastweeks email to write hand written letters. Another thing that I want to talk about is the 15th of september. Here in mexico, this holiday is huge, they have been having fireworks for every night the past week, it´s basically like new years and 4th of july put together, it´s crazy! But awesome, they celebrate so much, there was costumes of people in the street and stuff like that, plus tiendas that were selling mexico souvineers and stuff liek that, it was so awesome!

Keep me posted on how things are going, I´m sorry I don´t have much time to try and answer every question, and keep up with everything, but I´m trying.

Oh yeah, another thing, we have 3 baptisms this week! Yessica, y sus hijos(children) Carlos and Melanie, will be baptized this saturday. It´s so awesome, to feel the change in their lives, when they realize that the atonement can make them clean tand that through baptism they can receive forgiveness of sins, and join the church. But they are just such an awesome family to teach, I´m so excited, we already had one baptism, but this one will be differente, because it will be the work of me and my companion more, we actually taught them the lessons, really it´s all the work of the spirit, but we helped with this one. The last baptism that we had, the missionaries who were here previously taught him and prepared him, but yeah, it feels good. It makes up for all the times that i have been rejected or anything like that, but it is just awesome to be a missionary. I love this mission and everything about it, yes it´s new, and the streets at night are a bit scary, but I´m learning and loving it, spanish is coming along great, and I can´t wait to teach and work.

thanks for you love, support and prayers on my behalf, I´m out of time, but thanks for writing and I hope I answered all of your questions. Thanks for everything

Love, your son and brother,

Hello to everyone, from Mexico! It is so different here than the usa, im trying hard to learn spanish, but it is still difficult. the address posted above is the mission office, you can use that address for basically my entire mission. This week has been crazy, crazy fun, and crazy hard. i have never done something like this before in my life, but i know that heavenly father is there for me to help me, ive felt stressed, but my companion told me to not worry so much, that my spanish will progress with time and that eventually I will learn it. Oh, a little bit about my companion, his name is Elder Beatty, he is from Lehi, Utah. He will be training me for the first 12 weeks, the church has a program for new missionaries to do, basically it is where we get more time to study and stuff. Want to know something cool? We already had our first baptism! The missionaries before us were teaching him his name is johan, but we finished the teaching and got to watch him get baptized by his uncle. Another awesome thing

Another awesome thing, we already have 5 investigators with a baptisimal date, and 4 of them showed up at the chapel yesterday, it was such an awesome experience. The name of my area is Nativitas, it´s not exactly in the downtown area of Mexico City, but it`s still huge. there are literally like 1 million people in this area, so many people to teach and contact. I`m starting to feel like I belong here, because this is where I was called to go. But right now, we have a mom and two kids who we are teaching, their names are Yessica(the mom) Carlos(son) y melanie(daughter) they are pretty much awesome investigators, they accepted all of the commandments and were at church yesterday, I`ve only taught them two times, but already I feel a special connection towards them, because that is why I`m here. The people here are so awesome, they are some of the nicest people I have ever met, they always are willing to listen, and a lot of them are interested in the gospel.

How are things going at home? Keep me updated on how work is going for you and dad, and how school is going for everyone else. It is so different here, I remember the first time i saw mexico city from the plane, it was huge! It was like a sea of buildings, there is so many different things that I wish i could have time to tell you about, but I`ll try my best. One thing that is different is everyone pretty much walks in the streets, so it`s a little different, but it`s alright. The members here are so nice, they feed us everyday, we have what is called a comida(meal) where we get to talk with the members and teach them a little bit. My mission president is awesome! The first night we arrived, he took all the new missionaries to McDonalds here in mexico. It was a little different, they actually had jalapeno peppers at the mcDonalds, i tried one and..... that`s one thing that I need to learn, the food is a bit spicy, but I love it. Another thing is the culture, i`m still trying to learn, but i`m getting there.

This week, there is going to be a huge celebration on the 15th of this month, it,s basically like their 4th of july, you can look up information abou tit, i don`t totally understand it, but what I do understand is that there have been fireworks every night! They are so loud, they sound like gun shots, but their just big boomy majigs or something. But yeah, I am starting to love this area, I know that me and my companion will be able to have a lot of success here. Time has also flown by, I`ve already been here a week! it`s also different using pesos, but a lot of stufff is really cheap. like food and bottles of soda and juice, one dollar is basically equal to 10 pesos. It`s different, but I`m starting to adjust.

I`m still working on spanish, but at church, all of the members were so nice to me, even though I couoldn´t understand everything that they said. The food that I have eaten so far, has been delicious, they use tortillas a ton, they are basically like bread for them. But yes, I have been working hard to learn and grow. I can remember feeling a little scared at the beginning of this week of the great responsibility that being a missionary is, I was also scared of the culture, because there have been some pretty scary things that I have seen, but i have prayed for comfort, to know that I can overcome all of my doubts and be happy and have a good mission, and my testimony has been strengthened so much, I know that heavenly father wants me here in Mexico and althought there might be challenges, I`ll overcome them to the best of my ability.

I know that you guys probably have a lot of questions, so please send some questions in your next email, and I`ll answer them to the best of my ability. Still though, I honestly am so grateful to be here in the mission field, I have an awesome companion, he only has 6 months left in his mission, but we will do good things together, I know this. I would like to share my testimony with you in español with you guys

One other thing that is kind of cool, but an interesting story, there was this one guy, who we walked by and he started talking to us in english, so we talked with him. It turns out that he is actually a very less active member, he lived in new york for 14 years, did some bad stuff went to jail, but in jail he read the bible, then found the missionaries and was baptized. But now he told us that he is back to his old ways, this is something that we are going to work on. We are goign to visit with him this week to try and get him back to church.
Also, there are tons of dogs here, there are dogs in the street, dogs everywhere. There was this one huge dog, who started to lunge after me, but he was tied to a chain, my heart started racing, but hey, welcome to the life of a missionary. The people here are so humble, they don`t have all of the luxeries that we have, today, I learned how to wash my clothes by hand, it´s different but kind of fun. I guess you could say I`m living the life of a pioneer in a way, but yeah, it is definately different. When I arrived, one fo the first things <i said was, i`m not in kansas(utah) anymore. Everybody stares at me funny when I speak, but hey I´m trying and I will learn with time, I´m still a rookie, but soon I´ll get to be a senior companion. I´ll try to keep you updated as best as I can. Oh yeah ,they have a walmart here, and the prices are pretty low,

I´m so excited to work with the investigators who have baptisimal dates though, when they said yes that they wanted to be baptized on a specific date, that was one of the coolest things that I have ever felt, it makes all the people who have rejected me worth it, I´m trying my best, and working hard. Our mission has a goal to get 900 investigators to come to general conference in the capillas(chapels) so that is a goal that we are working on as a companionship. We need to get 15 investigators to conference to do our part of this goal, I´ve literally learned so much in just one week. <missionary work is honestly one of the biggest miracles in all the world, I´ve seen miracles here and felt the spirit, please pray for me to learn the language, and also to become a good missionary. Also, I don´t know how often I´ll be able to write letters with stamps and stuff, but I´ll try to figure that out, when <i receive letters, so if you send me a hand written letter, I´ll reply. Thanks for everything that you do, I love you guys and am thankful for everything

Love, your son and brother

This week has been so awesome! WE had infield orientaion yesterday, which was just awesome! It was basically like an alll day spiritual feast, I learned so much about how to do missionary work and how to find investigators and how to work with the members. I´´m excited but also a little scared, because the first Sunday that I´´m there, I will have to bare my testimony and speak in front of the whole ward in spanish, I hope I don´t accidentaly say something bad or anything like that haha, my spanish has gotten a lot better though, but I sometimes mess up on words and they sound like other words, but I know that the most important thing is that I teach by and with the spirit, and that is what I am going to do. It´s so crazy to think that I am leaving on Monday, but I´m ready, 9 weeks in the mtc is a long time! One really important thing that I really learned about was the importance of having faith, you have to have faith to do miracles, and faith that the Lord will help you in your work. Another thing that is muy importante es tener un positive attitude. Having a positive attitude is very important, if you have a positive attitude, miracles are so much more likely to happen. Just today, elder Baker and I had an awesome lesson, it was with a member, she had a great story about receiving revelation through the scriptures, because that was what we were teaching about. I feel pretty confident about my teaching skills now, I have gotten better, there is still so much more that I need to improve on, but I am ready to do it. I am so grateful for the oppurtunity that I have to be a missionary, and I have already felt the Lord´s help and love in my time at the mtc, he has helped me to get through times of frustration with the language and just times when I´ve needed a pick me up or something, but prayer really helps. Also, the devotional this past Tuesday was awesome, it was by Elder Perkins of the seventy, it was pretty sweet, he talked about the importance of being positve and to just have no fear and just go at the ¡missionary work and do the best that you can do, and he also talked about how we can help investigators come unto Christ. I´m excited for my flight though, and my two hour layover in TExas, because I bought 100 pass along cards from the mtc book store, and I´m gonna try to give out all of them, I´m so excited, hopefully at least one person will accept the message and who knows, maybe they´´ll join the church, that wouldl be just awesome

I´m so excited to go on Monday, and I´ll do my best to keep you guys updated on the mission, but I know that I´ll be way busy with mission work, but I´ll try my best

It''s hard for me to send my email to two emails, because I only have 30 minutes in the MTC, plus I have a lot to say, so I might not answer alll of your questions in the alloted time for me. First of all, I have some excellent news!!!!!!!!!!! I got my visa!!!! I''m so excited, I have my travel plans, I will be leaving form salt lake to mexico city on a direct flight September thir at like 8 in the morning, I''m so excited, but that's noteven the best part. The best part was how I got my visa, here it comes, get excited. so, it''s Tuesday and me and Elder BAker are doing service, when Elder BAker sees one of his friends who is going to the same mission as us, and his friend tells him that he has to go all the way to Boise just to get his visa. So, me and Elder Baker ran to the travel office and sure enough, we also were on that same trip. I have so much to say about this little trip, especially because we actually got to spend the night in Boise, with the Boise missionaries! It was just so cool, it got me ready to go ou tin the field, but I stilll have 9 days more, so tell everyone to use dearelder.com while they still can, before I get into Mexico. But yeah, want to know the crazy part, we got to take an airplane there, but wait it gets better, we actually flew from Salt ""Lake City, to Oakland California! And we had an hour layover there, and then we flew from Oakland to Boise! It was so awesome, I got to try placing a book of mormon at the airport, but I got rejected like 7 times.... but it was still an awesome learning experience, it was just so crazy when I found out that I was actuallly goin to the consulate in Boise to sign for my visa, but I have it, I''m beyond excitement. Once we got to Boise, two senior missionaries picked us up at the Boise airport, it was so awesome! They were so nice, they took us out to lunch at a pizza buffet, it was so weird being in the ""real world'' again haha, it felt weird because there were televisions and music in the airport and stuff, but it was so fun, this pizza restaurant was so delicious!! I loved it, it was such an awesome trip, it was especially coo,l because I have never been to Boise and it''s been so long since I flew in a plane, but we flew over lake taho, it was just so cool. Another awesome thingswas, that after wer got our visas, the senior couple took us out to dinner as well!! They took us to this place, westside Drive in, it was so delicious! The fries were heavenly and the burger was amazing, it was so cool, best experience in the mtc by far was this week, with this boise trip and the fact that an apostle came and spoke to us on Tuesday, the night before me and Elder BAker had to leave for the airport at like 4 in th emorning, but Elder Andersen came and talked, and he said some really cool things, which inspired me to becopme abetter missionary. But seriously, the trip to Boise was so fun, I actually went with 6 other elders, 5 of which(including my companion) are going to the same smission in Mexico as me, and I get along awesome with all of them, so oit would be cool to be their companions I think. It was so cool though talking to people on the airplane, I got to go on 4 different flights, in two days, I''m kind of plane sick haha, because my ears pop funny and stuff, but it was still so cool and so surprising to go all the way to Boise just to get my visa. Oh yeah, one of the coolest things was that we were in the airport at Oakland and we decided to buy jamba juices, so we were waiting in line and someone comes up to us(he was a member) and says here, this one is on me and he gave us 24$ to spend on jamba juice, which was awesome, the mtc actually gave us 30$ money for food, but we didn''t even need all of it, because of this nice awesome memberin Oakland, and also because of those wonderful senior missionaries. Missionaries really do receive blessings, and lots of people know who you are. Tons of members in the airport came up to us and asked us where we were going for our missions or if we were going home, it was kind of funny when we had to tell them the whole story, that we actuallly were going back to the mtc, that we just needed to get our visas... but it was cool with all the members that talked to us on the planeand at the airport. I really wish I could tell you everything, but I don''t have sufficient time, so I'll just keep on babbling on and on about the Boise trip. But to answer one of your questions real fast, yes I do sing in the mtc choir and I love it, music is a great way to invite the spirit and to feel great. My spanish is improving, and it was weird trying to explain the book of mormon in english for me, because I have gotten so used to using it in spanish and teaching in spanish, some of the english gospel words are starting to disappear from my mind and get replaced by spanish ones hahaha, but yes this trip was so fun,m it was weird coming back to the mtc, I feel like I should be going to the field right now, I''m ready(except for my spanish) but it was so exciting, staying with the Boise missionaries was cool because I got to watch them plan and talk about their day, and then they gave me advice and talked to me about their mission and it was just great. Oh and by the way, the plan that we flew in was Southwest Airlines, it was cool, it was funny when I first got the airport thrugh, because of all the music and news around me and stuff, but we met some aweome people, like a guy named roy who is 19 who came up to us because he had been ta king the discussions in texas, he is actuallly getting baptized soon, but he came up to us and talked to us about how he appreciated us and stuff, and it was so fun and so spiritually uplifting, I love being a missionary! I can''t wait to get in the field. This is the last week of the mtc for me, but I am going to make the most out of it, and I''m going to learn a lot, one thing that will be hard for me is to say goodbye to one of our ""investigators'' here at the mtc because it feels so real, and we have actually became good friends, and we only have one more lesson with him today, which I am excited for , because he already had his ""baptisim'', at least there would have been one if we were in the field... it still feels so real though, but I was so happy to teach him yesterday, and I am loving everything right now about being a missionary, i still miss yo u guys and would love to hear from you soon, but I am 100 percent focused and am going to do my best to deliver the message of the atonement of jesus Christ to all the world. It was crazy having the layover all the way in Oakland, but it was awesome, I got to get some real infield experience, one guy I thought would accept the book of mormon, but he said he wasn''t interested, I was sad inside because I know what happpiness the book of mormon can bring into someone''s life and I want to share it with everyone! But we had a great conversation and maybe I planted a seed, who knows. Man, time flies by though, that trip was so fast, we left wednesday morning for oakland-boise, and then thursday morning, we left for boise-oakland-salt lake. It was so weird driving along I-15 back to the mtc though, seeing all the billboards and all the changes and stuff, but I know that I shouldn''t worry about all that, because my purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ, and not to have any other worries about anything. It was a nice trip though, I learned a lot, and I learned alot from Elder Andersen, who spoke abou tthe importance of following the prophet, and that if we do follow the prophet, we will receive blessings and be protected as missionaries. I hope things are going well at home and I'm sorry I was''nt able to anser all of your questions, but I just wanted to talk about my trip to Oakland/Boise. WE got to drive by the boise temple. it''s almost done and also go into the mission home in Boise. I had so much fun there, I get a little airplane sick, but esta bien. I also can now pretty much start to think in spanish, sometimes I''ll speak spanish when I should have spoken english, like at the airport, I spoke in spanish when I ordered my food at the jamba juice(we went twice) and it was cool. Still, my favorite part was all the members who came up and said how much they appreciated my choice to serve a mission, it was such an uplifting experience for me to know, that even though I faced rejection from some people in the airport, that I am not alone. That I always have the spirit to be with me, that''s one thing that Elder Andersen talked about, we have to do our duty and we will find all happiness and blessings that we need. I have been keeping my journal updated, I actually am almost done with one! I bought another one in the mtc, and will probably get another one before I leave, it is so cool out here in the mtc, and just going to boise was so awesome, I''m sorry I can''t tell you everything, and if my thoughts are really scattered and stuff, but there is so much I wish to say, but yes, i will be goign to Mexico on time and will be calling from the airport that monday morning at like 7:30 or something like that, so enjoy your day and remember me in your thoughts and prayers

Things are going great in the MTC, I still have two more weeks left, but I want to go out into the field and share what I have learned and put myself to the test. Don't worry mom, I've been taking vitamins, and drinking plenty of water to prepare my immune system for Mexico. We got a new teacher in my class this week because my old one had to quit so he could go to school, but our new teacher is from Mexico City, so she was able to tell me a lot about the culture, I'm beyond excited for the oppurtunity to teach and work with the people down there. I already feel a connection to them and just can't wait to serve them. This week, our mission district got smaller... 3 of the elders who were in our district had to transfer to the MTC in Bogota, colombia. It was sad to see them go, but happy because I know that they will be great in their missions down in Colombia. It's so different only haveing 6 missionaries in my district now, but it's still good, I have learned so much from them. This week, my district made a new goal that on Martes(Tuesday) and Jueves(Thursday) that we would speak only in spanish the whole day. It actually went pretty good, I was able to make it through, I can understand a lot more spanish than I can speak though, but I'm getting there, slowly but surely. My speaking abilities are slow, but is progressing and starting to get faster and more confident. Thanks so much for sending that package, It was perfect, I should be good on everything now, these next two weeks are going to go by fast, but I'll try to enjoy every second that I can while I'm still here in the MTC. It's been sad yet happy to see other missionaries in my zone leave for their missions, it's weird too now because now my district is one of teh more senior districts in the zone, I actually feel like I understand pretty much everything about the MTC and stuff. It's been so much fun teaching progressing investigators here, it's different here than it will be in the field, but it's still the same in a way. Me and Elder Baker have two baptisimal dates for two investigators who we havebeen teaching, it just feel sso aweome to see these investigators progress and change their lives because of what you have taught them. How are things going back at home? You can still use www.dearelder.com to write me while I'm here in the MTC for two more weeks, but after that it will be more difficult to get letters to me in Mexico. I haven't heard about the status of my Visa, I wont worry yet though, but if it doesn't go through they'll let me call home to tell you guys. This week has been so awesome though, because we got to teach each other. I had the oppurtunity to play the role of an investigator, it's different but good practice because you get to think of every possible problem that the investigator might have and it makes it easier to solve when/if you run into that problem in the mission field or with your investigator. The devotionals have been awesome, as usual, but one of the most aweome things that happened this Sunday was that we got to watch an old talk given by Elder Bednar at the MTC last Christmas, called the Character of Christ. This talk was literally life changing for me, it made me realize that I need to turn outward and help others all the time and stop worrying about my own concerns so much, I need to put the investigators needs first, because that is my responsibility as a missionary. This is exaclty what the SAvior did, he always looked to help others, Elder Bednar told some pretty cool stories about this too, it made me really commit to always think of others first, the words he used were so powerful, and the spirit I felt was so strong. Another really totally mind blowing quote that he said went something like this: "Who you are is far more important than whatever it is you will say" If you think about it, it is so true though, especially in the mission field. Investigators can only know of the truth of your message by the witness they receive through the holy spirit, you have to live all of the commandments that you are teaching so that they can feel the power of your testimony. Words without spirit behind them are not very powerful, and the investigators will be able to feel the spirit of your words, if you don't have teh spirit or live all the mission rules, the investigator will be able to feel that, and they will be less likely to want to hear more about the church, so i commmiteed myself to never have that happen, I committed myself to always live every rule, because I truly want the people of Mexico City to be able to feel of my love of the gospel and the savior and of my love of the people of Mexico City, I'm so excited to share what I know to be true, I can't wait! I have learned so much this week, it;'s difficult to try and explain it all in one email, but I just have one more totally lifechanging quote that I want to share: "Don't worry about how inexperienced you are or think you are, but think about what , with the Lord's help you can become"-President Eyring. I really love this qutoe, I found it and realized taht it was an answer to my prayers, the Lord has already helped me more than I even realize in becoming a good missionary, and although I am far from perfect, as long as i do my best and obey every rule, I know that the Lord will be able to help me to be an instrument in his hands in bringing others to the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. It's so awesome when I find other missionaries from Mexico, I've found like 7 this week alone, and they have told me about the culture and stuff, its going to be different, but very fun. I'm also starting to like talking in spanish more than english jajaja, cuando I get back from mi mission, it will be difficult for me to talk in english, already I've noticed that my grammer in english has gotten worse, but that's not important, just a little side note. What is more important is that I am trying my best, and although there have been times when I have been frustrated with teh language or with others, I've learned that the Lord cares about me and has provided all the resources that I need to overcome any obstacle in my path, I know it will be difficult and hard work, but I honestly can say that I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I've never felt this much joy before, to be able to share the happiness of the gospel with others so that they can have the same blessings that I enjoy, that of an eternal family and the blessing of the atonement. It's been different because one of our teachers is on vacation right now, so we always have a different teacher everyday, but it's been good because I've been able to learn different teaching methods and ways to learn spanish and stuff and I love it so much, i've also got to teach different investigators, which has been awesome, well my time's just about up, I hope to hear from you guys before I leave for Mexico at least one more time, I love letters, they truly make a day go by so much better, hasta luego

Hello everybody back home, how are things going? I hope that you are all having a good time and enjoying life. I'm just going to start off with the best thing that happened this week, this week in the MTC I had one of the most awesome and just muy chevre(very cool) experiences. This week, me and Elder Baker were teaching one of our investigators, basically he was a golden investigator, he was definately prepared to hear the message of the restored gospel, anyways, the second lesson me and Elder Baker decided that we needed to teach him about the gospel of Jesus Christ(faith, repentence, baptism, recieving the gift of the holy ghost, and enduring to the end) so we did, and it was just the best lesson ever, we got to talking about the holy ghost and he said that he had felt that comfort before in his life, so we explained that that feelingof comfort and joy was the holy ghost, he loved it, we asked him if he would like to have that feeling forever and he said yes, then we asked him if he would be bapitzed on the 18th of this month, and he accepted! It was the best feeling I have ever felt, this feeling will make up for any hardtimes, even if it took 1000 doors to find an investigator like this guy in the field, it would be worth it and I would be willing to do it, to help to bring to pass our Heavenly Father's great and eternal plan. Even though I'm not in the field yet, it amazes me how the MTC is able to work and prepare missionaries for missionary work, the atmosphere is just so awesome, and the feelings that I have felt here can't be described with words, the spirit is stronger than any words, I found that out this week as well. When I was teaching and I couldn't remember some of the spanish words I needed to, I just bore my testimony as strong as I could, and I knew that I made mistakes, but the spirit was there in the message I was testifying of, after the lesson, the investigator even complimented me on my spanish. The Lord gave us weakness that we might be humble and be strong, I have learned that I am going to neeed all the help I can get from the Lord, I can't do this alone, but I have found that as I continue to study for my investigators and keep obeying all of the mission rules, that I have felt the spirit and Heavenly Father's guiding hand over the work that I am performing. That was the highlight of my week, that experience, I can't wait to experience it with the people of Mexico City, I already feel a connection to them, because I know that I have been called by a prophet of God to go serve in Mexico City because that is where I willl be able to have the most success as a missionary, because there is something about me that the people will connect with and accept the gospel. It is such a great blessing to see the light in people's eyes when they start to understand the gospel. I'm over the half way mark of my stay here in the MTC, its so crazy to think that soon I will be in anothe rcountry teaching the gospel, but I am so excited and ready to serve. This week, our district shrunk a little, one of the elders Elder white, got his visa so he got to go to the Peru mtc, it was sad to see him leave because as a district we have grown pretty united, plus our teacher left this week as well, he was awesome and I learned so much from him, it was just so awesome to be able to hear his advice about preparing for the mission field. There is so much to learn here in the MTC, and I am doing my best to learn everything tha tI can while I am still here, I love being a missionary so much and I have felt the support of all of the prayers for the missionaries, I have had some hard times, but I have been able to get through them through the comfort I have found in prayer and in scripture study. This week, on tuesday we will also be losing three more elders from my district, it will be sad to see them go, they are going to the colombia mtc, it will only be 6 elders in our district next week, that is so crazy to think about, but I know that they will all be good missionaries. I love the devotionals here in the MTC, they are just so awesome, especially this fast sunday because we basically had all day to study the gospel and listen to talks. WE had a mission conference which was totally awesome, two hours jam packed full of awesome talks from the members of the mtc presidency, I learned so much there. One of the things that they focused on was the BOok of Mormon, this is such a great book, it is literally the word of God. The Book of Mormon is true and it has helped me so much to grow closer to God by reading it, I have learned so much and I would challenge you to always remember the worth and the value of the book of mormon, don't take it for granted. Every verse was meant specifically for us, and there is so much to learn from it, I have spent so much more time studying it and have finally realized the importance of the book of mormon, it ht has helped to anser my prayers many times. The Book of Mormon really is the keystone of our religion, Joseph Smith did translate it by and through the power of God, I have a testimony of the book of mormon, it has grown so much stronger since being here in the MTC, I promise that if you read and pray about the book of mormon, you will receive an answer and find the guidance that you need. I will do my best to be an effective missionary, and I love it here in the MTC, letters are awesome to receive, I love letters. This church is such a miracle to day, I wish that I had time to tell everything about my experience here in the MTC, but I do not. One thing that I have noticed is that my spanish is getting better, I can understand almost all the words of our investigators, and I have also learned the importance of patience and studying. You have to be patient while learning a new language and take the time to effectively study, this is true with anything, not just learning a language, this week me and Elder Baker made a study plan that seems to be working pretty spectacular, it is truly miraculous, 3 and a half more weeks till I willl be in MEXico City, I just love being a missionary, remember the missionaries in your thoughts and prayers. I love teaching the gospel, it is something that makes me so happy, I have definately noticed an improvement in how me and Elder Baker are able to plan lessons, we can do it faster and more effective, this week we taught so many more lessons than we ever had before, it was amazing. Don't forget to write, I promise that I'll get back to you as soon as I can, thanks so much for your love and support,
Hasta Luego,
Elder Limb

Sorry for the delay  in posting, I've been on trek this past week.  It was an awesome experience to build myself spiritually, because I realize as Elder LImb is growing in the gospel, I need to also

Things are still going well in the MTC, this week has just been so awesome, an don't even worry, I'm 100 percent focused on the work, it's just nice to know what's going on at home and how everyone is doing and stuff. One of my favorite things about the MTC has been personanl study time, I love having the time to just study and remember that I'm not studying for myself, but that I am actually studying to help find answers to my "investigator's" questions. This week, me and Elder BAker got a new investigator, we taught him yesterday and he is an awesome investigator, I think that things will go well with him. Spanish is starting to come along more naturally and I feel like I will be ready for the field in 4 more weeks as long as I work as hard as I can and go to work. One awesome thing that I learned this week that will help me throughout my mission is that the message of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ is truly the most spectacular event in the history of the world, besides the atonement of course, but in a workshop this week we learned how we can share this message with investigators and help them to feel the happiness and awesomeness that the book of mormon brings into our lives. Words aren't able to express the feelings that I now understand and feel for this wonderous event, that 14 year old boy decided to listen to the scripture in James 1:5 and act on it, we have so many blessings today because of it, and our Heavenly Father truly does answer prayers in our day, I've felt that in my own life here at the MTC when I have prayed for help with the language or for patience with others or for help to teach the investigator and help them to understand the wonderfullness of the gospel. This week, me and Elder Baker made some new goals which we have been keeping up with pretty good, we made the goal to try and talk in only spanish for at least 25 minutes every day, so far it has been going great, I'm actually starting to find that I like talking in spanish more than in english, spanish definitely will come, I know it will, one thing that they have always taught us is to take advantage of everything that we have here in the MTC, spiritually speaking like the following: plenty of study time(more than in the field) teachers to help explain stuff to us, awesome devotionals every sunday and tuesday, a branch presidency, being surrounded by so many other missionaries with the same desire and goal in mind, and the oppurtunity to go to the temple every week. These are just some of the things that I get to have here that I wont have in the field, basically they teach us to not get so stressed over the language because it will come as we study the language and live in another culture. You have to understand the doctrine and principles first in english and in the spiritual context, before you can understand it in spanish, otherwise it is just saying a bunch of memorized phrases and information, which is not nearly as effective as having the spirit be the teacher. We are called to teach people, not lessons. One other quote that I really like is this: "We are not simply giving information, rather we should be offering salvation" As I have thought about this quote, I have developed a greater love for the people that I will be serving, I need to be able to adjust my teaching methods to fir their needs, to be able to help them understand that this church is the way to receive salvation and be saved in the last day. I've learned to forget my own problems because there is no room for me to feel sorry for myself, I have to focus all my efforts on others, especially my investigators needs. It definitely is nice to have Preparation day though, to write letters and stuff, and to have more time to relax, because you learn so much more when you are relaxed. Still though, there is a time and place for everything and I am trying to get better at using my time more wisely, we have tons of time to study the language and study the gospel, sometimes I get distracted, but I have gotten a lot better at focusing and learning how to recognize the spirit more. Soccer has become increasingly more fun for me and I love gym time, gym time is so nice because it helps me to stay awake and be more alert afterwards for my next class or lesson. I have learned so much in the one month that I have been a missionary and I can't wait to get into the field and share what I have been practicing and what I know to be true, even if I struggle with spanish, the spirit will help to express my message and help others come back to the gospel. One of the highlights of my week though was me and Elder Baker's object lesson that we did with one of our investigators, we got a combination lock and compared each number in the combination to a certain thing that you had to do to receive answers to questions and to know the truth of the gospel for yourself, the three things were: faith, read scriptures especially the book of mormon, pray with real intent/come to church. It was so cool, even though I'm not perfect at teaching or at spanish, I know that our investigator was able to feel the spirit of our message and understand the importance of reading and praying together. It was such an awesome turnaround for our investigator though because in our last lesson with him, he didn't want to pray in front of us at all, he just kind of sat there, but during this object lesson he was much more alert and he listened, and he prayed at the end of the lesson, it was so awesome! I love seeing the change in investigators as they start to realize the truth and plant the seed of faith and let it grow, I know that the investigators that I'm teaching right now are just roleplaying, but the spirit is still there and you still feel awesome when you see that they are starting to understand what you were trying to teach them, I'm so excited to go out into the field and teach others. Another thing that I'm excited to do in the field is to be able to plan more, here att he mtc everything is scheduled out, but in the field you have to listen to the spirit and plan, I'm excited for that. Plus, I'll have more things to talk about haha, like experiences and stuff, there isn't that much more I can really share about the MTC, other than that it is exceedingly awesome, but I really do love the chance that I have to committ myself to serve the Lord with all my heart, might, mind and strength, and I will always give my best effort to help others because I have to, they need this message. Being a missionary is the best thing ever, I love it so much. I now appreciate all the things of the gospel so much more, it's the greatest feeling. My time is out, I hope to hear from you soon, thanks so much for taking the time to write to me and for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers.

Adios, Love Elder Daniel Limb
